Trailborn Privacy Choices

Last Updated: August 18, 2026

This page is where you control how Trailborn uses your personal information. You can manage tracking on this website, change what marketing you receive, opt out of the sharing of your information for advertising, and request access to or deletion of your data.

You do not need to have stayed with us to use this page, and we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these choices.

1. Tracking on This Website

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary to make the site work — keeping your booking session active, remembering your language. Others help us understand how the site is used, or allow advertising partners to show you Trailborn ads on other websites.

You can change which categories are active at any time:

You can also use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page to reopen your preferences at any time.

Please note: these controls are stored in your browser. If you use a different browser, a different device, or clear your cookies, you will need to set your preferences again. To apply a choice across everything we hold about you, use the request form in Section 3 instead.

2. Marketing Emails

To stop receiving promotional email from Trailborn, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing message. This takes effect for all Trailborn properties.

You can also email info@trailborn.com and ask us to remove you.

Unsubscribing stops marketing messages. We may still send you messages related to a reservation you have made — confirmations, changes, cancellations, and information you need for your stay. Those are not marketing and cannot be turned off while you have an active booking.

If You Signed Up for a Discount or Promotional Offer

If you joined our email list in exchange for a discount or other offer, you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. Any discount you have already redeemed is unaffected. An offer you have not yet used may expire when you withdraw.

The full terms of these offers, including how we value the information you share with us, are set out in the Notice of Financial Incentive in our Privacy Policy.

3. Opt Out of the Sale or Sharing of Your Personal Information

We share information about your visits to our websites — such as your device identifier, IP address, and browsing activity — with advertising companies who use it to show you Trailborn advertising elsewhere online. Under California law and similar laws in other states, this is treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, even though we receive no money for it.

You have the right to tell us to stop. You can do this in two ways:

For this browser only: use the cookie controls in Section 1 and turn off the Marketing category.

For everything we hold about you: submit a request below. This is the more complete option — it applies to your guest record, not just one browser.

Confirming Your Opt-Out Was Processed

The cookie controls in Section 1 show your current settings for this browser. If the Marketing category is switched off there, your opt-out is active on this device.

If you submitted a request using the form below, we will send you written confirmation once it has been processed. If you would like us to re-confirm the status of an opt-out at any time, email info@trailborn.com and we will respond in writing.

4. Access, Correct, or Delete Your Information

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to:

  • Know and access — find out what personal information we hold about you, where we got it, why we use it, and who we share it with, and receive a copy
  • Correct — have inaccurate information about you fixed
  • Delete — have your personal information erased, subject to legal exceptions such as records we must keep for tax or accounting reasons
  • Portability — receive your information in a format you can transfer elsewhere
  • Limit our use of sensitive information — restrict how we use things like government-issued ID numbers or health information you have shared with us
  • Appeal — challenge our decision if we decline your request

5. Submit a Request

Use the form below, or email us at info@trailborn.com.

If You Are Submitting on Someone Else’s Behalf

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request for you. We may ask the agent for proof that you authorized them, and we may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.

    How We Verify You

Before we act on a request to access, correct, or delete information, we need to be reasonably certain you are who you say you are — otherwise we risk handing your information to someone else. We may ask you to confirm details that match what we already have on file, such as the email address or phone number used for a reservation.

We use anything you give us for verification only for that purpose, and we do not keep it afterward. If we cannot verify you, we will tell you why.

Opting out of the sale or sharing of your information does not require verification. We will honor that request without asking you to prove your identity.

    6. What Happens Next

    • We will confirm we received your request within 10 business days.
    • We will complete it within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will tell you before that deadline and explain why.
    • Opt-out requests are processed within 15 business days.
    • There is no charge for a request. If a request is excessive or repetitive, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline it — and we will explain our reasoning if we do.

    If We Say No

We will tell you why. You can appeal by emailing info@trailborn.com with the subject line Privacy Request Appeal, along with a short explanation of why you think our decision was wrong. We will respond in writing within 45 days.

If you are still not satisfied, you may file a complaint with your state attorney general.

    7. A Note on Our Vendors

We use trusted service providers to run our business — a property management system, a booking engine, a guest email platform, and experience booking tools. When you ask us to delete your information, we coordinate with those providers to remove it from their systems as well.

Deleting your information means we lose your stay history and any preferences we have recorded for you. If you book with us again afterward, we will be starting fresh.
